Those that know me know that I won’t promote something unless it offers the angler something worthwhile.
Recently I went down to Stenhill Lakeside Holidays for a short break, and I can honestly say that if it was not purely a holiday retreat & 200 miles away, I would be buying a ticket for it regardless of how much it cost!
I have been on other angling holidays in the UK, but none of them come close to the standards, both angling and non-angling, that Brian & Caroline Cox provide at the fishery.
The luxury lodge (sleeps up to 6 people) has all the mod-cons including large screen LED TV’s & Freesat in the living room and master bedroom, whirlpool bath and en-suite shower/toilet, fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, washer/drier, fridge/freezer, etc, leather sofas, and more. The site is covered by infra red CCTV (which is only used for security purposes), lodge is fully alarmed, and gated with a very secure magnetic security lock.
The lake itself is approx 1.5acres in size and has numerous 20’s with average size of the stock being 22lb. There are also 4 known 30’s in the lake along with a good head of upper doubles including koi and ghost variants. The lake also holds Roach in excess of 2lb as well as Tench to 10lb+.
More information on the venue can be found at http://www.ukmatchangler.com/carp/articles/venues/stenhill/stenhill.php and a blog of our week down there can be found at http://www.ukmatchangler.com/carp/articles/features/darrensdiary/stenhill.php

We went down during the hurricane that came in to the South West, and still managed 14 carp between me & the wife with 10 x 20lb fish & 4 x doubles in the limited hours that we could fish with the weather conditions!
