Its very easy to over stock.
Alot of factors come into play, such as water quality, is it connected to water course, does it have a constant water course inlet and out let, depth, existing stocking density, other aquatic life etc etc etc.
Talk to a good reputable fish rearing farm and they will help you – if they just want your money, then there not the right people!
I know that some years ago, Nigel at Barston lakes stocked from a farm called Willow fish farm in Cheshire – we subsequently used them also and they were a good help.
You could loose the lot in low oxygen conditions, algea blooms, or as we did, a series of bad thunder storms that came after a sustained hot weather spell.
Get some good solid advise mate.
