Between mid-night and 3am this morning I was broken into, and the below items stolen:

        16m Daiwa G50,
        Airity X45 16m section with 2 Airity X45 number 4’s inside(both had Trev J nose cones),
Tournament 10-11 (2014 version) rod with TDX 3012 reel fitted and 6lb engraved on the spool,
Tournament 12-13 (older version) with a broken reel handle with insulation tape round it, with the latest black Caldia 4000A reel fitted,
Garbolino distance feeder with Castizm reel,
Daiwa Airity double rod holdall with my name down the side in white,
Daiwa goretex staff blue/black bib and brace covered in mud,
Daiwa goretex staff blue / black Windstopper jacket,
Daiwa goretex staff blue / black pole jacket – all clothing is size medium and has my name in the label,
Rive largest roller with holes drilled in the ends in the of the legs,
        Rive smallest roller,
Rive carry bag with 2 matrix rollers with holes drilled in the ends of the legs, a Preston tripod, various roosts and arms,
Rive black cassette unit with 4 trays of rigs and a tray of hook length boxes, not to mention the hours of prep.

I am located in Yardley, Birmingham.

Unfortunately I am not insured. I was with Korda Kover and paid a small fortune for the best insurance available, unfortunately my insurance policy expired 4 weeks ago. Korda Kover has ceased trading in terms of insurance so unfortunately my policy did not auto-renew as it normally would. And typically not had the time to sort out new insurance.

If you hear or see of any gear that sounds remotely similar to the above items, please do let me know.

        Thanks,
        James

            James,

            Sorry to hear that.

Total scum who scoop to these depths!

I hope you have reported it to the police and does your household insurance not cover it?

Thanks for the replies. I think I’ve just about come to terms with it. Every time I think about the rigs and hook length boxes I’ve lost, I wonder what the point is trying to replace it all.

Police are fully involved. Currently waiting on a phone call back from my house contents insurer, but based on first phone call it is not looking like I will be covered.

DM – how did they get into your property? And did they take just fishing gear? Have you had any info back from the police regarding any items being found, or more importantly anything about the scumbags?

Like I said above, it would seem these b#sta#ds knew what they were looking for.
