Since the super league ended team fishing in the summer is more or less zilch. What would the team anglers out there like to happen as regards a league.
My idea would be 4 matches,
        1 commercial
        1 river
        1 shallow canal (bloodworm banned)
        1 deep canal (bloodworm allowed)
I would keep the matches quite central so to minimise travelling and would not have a final(whoever wins over 4 matches on varying venues deserves to win)
        Teams of 8
        My venues would be:
        Tunnel barn or Larford
        Wye or severn
Grand Union(m/k or Northampton) or Staffs worcester
        Stainy or gloucester.
        What do you think?

Id look at 2 on rivers.
2 on commercials, (one an open water lake and one a snake).
                1 on a canal
1 on a natural stillwater, (bream).

The south west super league didn’t stop when drennan pulled the plug last year, in fact we had one more team fish than the previous year. We had 6 matches; 2 on Porth,2 on the ‘river’ Huntspill and 2 on The Bristol; Avon at newbridge. 6 craking venues without any vermin(carp) in sight. However this season Porth has been dropped for 2 on viaduct so that has taken the shine off it a bit.

The Oxford league didn’t stop either. It just carried on and had 12 teams last year (why would people just stop running decent sized matches anyway ??). I believe there is even a ‘final’ being run sometime in May for those leagues which ran themselves through the summer.

The Northern League is still running, the final will be on Tunnel Barn in May, Mark Harper from Thatchers got all team captains together for a meeting at Barston last year and we decided to keep our leagues running, and still fish an All Winners Final every year. Only change was that the top 3 teams fished the final instead of 2~clap ~clap.
