tackle box straps

i know this is a silly question but i have a shakespear seat box and want to put a strap on it to carry it to certain locations ,you can buy the straps but how do you connect them to a plastic box :confused: ,thanks for any help am stuck 🙂

If i remember correctly the proper straps have like a half-buckle on each end.
These buckles were pushed through slots in the side of the box and then when pulling the strap they flatten out against the inside of the box stopping themselves from pulling through.

I have 2 straps in the garage that I removed from some Preston boxes. They do not have buckles, or clips on the ends, but I’m sure you could work something out.

Previous post by TR is correct. I am not sure if these are still available but the offer from Paddy should enable you to knock a solution together.
Just remembering how light these boxes were compared to the RIVE I now use.

I remember back in the day when I had one, someone bought me the top box that clipped on and the tackle box that went inside and sat on the ledge. So many drawers and compartments to fill…ended up with allsorts in that box, probably all the terminal tackle I owned plus folding ex- army shovel for digging pegs out. First time i tried to strap it onto my pushbike the rack snapped!
That inner tackle box weighed more than the seatbox itself lol.
