I have a match at the Glebe next week. Not been told what lake but if anyone has got any general info on the place. Things that are working and things that are not would be great.

Fished lake 1 last week most of the best weights came by feeding loads of hemp and sweetcorn and fishing over the top with paste.Four weighed in over 100lb many on paste unfortunatly I was not one of them. Fish paste as soft as you can.

Just come back from MFS weekender

            2 things.

1 – draw an end peg or go home!
2 – go round and garden your feeder peg, it may look clean on the bank BUT its chocker with underwater weed and it cripples you, go and drag it all out.

Feeder tight to the boards if on the reeds fish away a bit there is quite a bit of debris on the deck, micros with either corn or meat seemed to work better then groundbait

the fish were coming on the pole but in the slightly deeper water around 6 sections a lot of fish to corn some to paste or meat.

not too many caught from the margins peg 10 won pool 1 on saturday

those that worked their peg caught best

                  thanks

ive only fished it twice in the past 2 years and ive noticed on feeder that i got bites straight after the feeder had landed… aint a slow sinking bait better and if so what?….surely meat would jus sink like a plummet?

I recently won the MFS pairs on the Glebe and this is how I did it.

                    Day 1 – Lake 1.

                    3rd in section with 80lb.
Caught over with soaked 3mm in the feeder and punched meat on the hook.
Also caught on 5mtr line (better)
Fed 11 tins corn and 4pts hemp

                    Day 2 – Lake 6.

                    Won the match 141 lb
Caught on the feeder as Day 1 (12 carp) but then caught 29 carp down the edge.
Fed 13 tins corn and 6pts hemp.

                      thanks..

the reason i ask is because ive got a club match this sunday and the weather is set to stay the way it is all week!….how well does pole shallow work and do i take casters or pellets or both?

I think every peg is going to be in so how does it fish under that pressure and do they still come close 5m/margins?

On feeder, you say hair rigged meat…do you use something robust like pepperami or just normall cubes?..i was also thinking if i freeze the meat and get it to float then let the hook sink it to create a slow sinking bait because last time i fished it i noticed 90% of my bites came as it landed.

how well does pellet waggler work?

                      cheers….

Looking at the MFS result sheet though you had 116lb next to you on day 1, and drew an end peg flier on the 2nd day 🙂

Luke – take no notice then cos I’m obviously rubbish according to some.

Been again today and won with 139lb from middle of Lake 1.

Fed 13 tins corn and 2pts paste – ran out of bait with 30 mins left.

BTW – meat for the feeder is hair rigged punced piece of plumrose.

Fish at 4-5 mtrs on the slope as this is where they tend to patrol.

Bait wise – make em av it – they’ll come……
