  Does it really matter whether you come on as yourself, or with a handle?
  Personally, I come on as myself, whilst so do a few others.
  The new account/user sign up can ask for certain amount of characters and numbers, so I think that may have a bearing on it, don’t you think?
  Some user names can raise a smile, so why not!

  When it’s used for fun or honest debate sometimes controversial or political then I think that’s great . Now and then the anonymity suits some and they overstep the boundaries because of it . Not found often on this forum I must admit but I have heard of some handbag stuff on recent forums to do with recent events . Got this feeling that a forum where everyone had to sign on there true identity would be good . Don’t really know why or where it would go but I’ve always been a tad controversial. ? 😀 😀 😀

  Always thought tidalwave was a more sensible username to have,than a regular john,mike,or dave etc.simply because telling people there is a 40ft dave heading towards tokyo harbour is not as believable as a 40ft tidalwave heading the same way..lol

  Have you seen those “Bag up Bobbers” up the top of the page?
  I like the look of those and may have to invest in a couple. I like the look of the shroud on the underneath to stop it from diving deep.

  why hide behind a false name if you have anything to say whether its controversial or not good or bad its often the only way other listern .Take the Angling Trust they read everything on websites but take no notice if it comes from someone called Ivor Floss banger 😉

  Regarding the feeder float gizmo paddy . i can see the thinking behind it but should not comment as I have not fished for carp for some time now . Fill it full with mashed bread and a bloody big piece of bread on the hook !!!! Oh shit Paddy you started me off again Besides some wanker will take offence and ban it all ! 😀 😀 😀

  That all went off course but going back to the idea of going on as yourself a very top angler said you would end up with some beggars using other anglers names to all sorts of ends ??? :rolleyes: Hadn’t thought that through !! Maybe that’s why ime a bit infamousl. !!!! Mistaken identity ?? 😀 😀 😀 😀
