You know apart from the finish on the Airity and Pro X and the spares no one has told me exactly what difference these 3 poles have ?

              I am confused .

I’ve just started using a Pro x and im really pleased with it. The finish is superb and it glides through your hands without any sticking. I am a previous owner of the old Pro and an Airity and and its fair to say that the difference between the three is negligible. In my opinion the Pro X is the better pole because of its finish. The Airity’s main advantage is its better spares package but i found it a pain to use in hot weather because of it’s matt black finish. It heats up in the sun and gets that hot it will burns your hands and elbows especially when there is meat grease on it.

I have had a waggle of the new shimano poles – the fireblood and the aspire ultra – the ultra is the top of the range pole and there is about 500 – 600 quid difference..but….. the fireblood feels a much better pole. There did not feel a great deal of difference between the fireblood and the G10 at 13m. Also, Scotthorne was in the tackle shop the other day and got the fireblood, put a half-ex up the back end of it and it felt much much better..just with the addition of the half-ex.

                  Scotthorne uses the fireblood!!!!

Mike, which shop have you seen the Fireblood in, i was told by Shimano the arent due in the country till 1st May!!
At 13m’s i dont think there is much difference between alot of poles, its at the longer lengths where you feel the difference.

Bob-co Leeds mate..they also have the TPX and the G10 and G1k.

try to get a half-ex to go up jack-end of the fireblood…big difference.

Still not gonna get one though..will stick with the G10.

Mike, can you explain a bit more about what you mean a big difference with a half ext up back?

Also the airity is made of 100 ton carbon.( a higher grade carbon)
