Im looking to use it on stilwaters rather than rivers for sivers. Which do you think is best for the job?
            thanks mate

I’m assuming that you are talking about the John Allerton Waggler rod which has a rolled, as opposed to a sliced tip.

In that case, your choice comes down to your preferred length.

The Allerton Waggler rod is only available in 13′, and the Trilogy in 14’+
I wouldn’t recommend the Allerton Premier rod on still waters, it has been designed really for stick float fishing.

Personally for an all-round stillwater silvers rod, I’d go for the Allerton Waggler. Other than big waggler/slider fishing, I don’t think you’d need a longer rod.
The waggler rod is a beautiful piece of kit by the way.

Decided on the Drennan Acolyte 14ft. Beltin rod really well balanced
