        Hi,

        I’m looking for a rod.

        Key points:

Rating: Full pendulum on a 50-125g. I’ll be using mostly 75g on it but will want to push a 100g if it is necessary.

It HAS to be very Very light,

A good tippy action (‘softish’ tip blended on a powerful butt)

Slim (less than 22mm if possible) butt diameter,

        Built for multiplier

Length: 13ft-13.6ft, it has to be 13ft minimum to get the line out of the wash.

        Probably in the zziplex range.

Going to use it on clean beaches to target small fish and small sharks from the shore, distance work.

        Any suggestion would be appreciated.

        Cheers,

        JB.

The only Zzippy that I know of that matches your need is the Profile.

You might also consider the Century Tip Tornado Ultra Lite

            Thanks Mark,

I’ve had a browse on the summerland website, there no mentioning about the casting weight of the profile standard, the good thing is that it comes in 2 equal section which I prefer over an 8ft tip. Actually, I saw another model called the profile lure which hasn’t got much info.

I think it would be better for me to buy the blank and built it in such a way I can replace a ring easily.

From what I understand, the Profile Lure would throw your leads up to 100grm OK but then would start to struggle.

Thank you very much, the profile standard sound to perfection.

So you won’t be using 2lb braid then?

Should be 60lb shockleader and 15lb-18lb running main line.

For 2lb mono- 8lbmono/braid, I’ve got other equipment up to PE 10.

Mate of mine has just picked up a new zzippy blank, its the new profile, dont know the official name, but it has 20mm fulcrum butt and a glass tip. Looks a pretty tasty bit of kit !! May be ideal Jackyboy.
