Yeah, 8mm for either bomb, wag or long pole depending on wind direction/strength. If using the pole, set up a depth rig as well, ’cause they don’t always come very shallow.
Most swims are about 7′ max, probably 5′ on long pole.
You need to feed plenty to get a response, say a dozen pellets every 30 seconds, then cut it back once they’re in front to make them compete. If the bites stop, give them a blast of a dozen again.
On Campbell, if you have a heavily reeded margin, fish long with 8mm pellets looking for tench and big skimmers.
There are regular tench nets pushing the ton. Some days that is enough to win.
Carp may come down the edge as well, so gear up sensibly.

                Have a good one.

i agree with steve but i found fishing a foot half deep on long pole or waggler will catch you more fish and keep feeding your margin swim. anyway i wont tell you to much as my dad is fishing it is well

thats ok feed 8mm pellet start on the wag first if your missing bites go straight on the long pole and keep chucking pellet and hemp in your margin swim. that is how i would fish all day. if this fails blame me old man, all the best
