Wales Take 2009 Rivers Home International
The 2009 Rivers Home International was held on 26th June on the River Taff in South Wales.
England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales took part in the competition with five anglers per team plus one reserve.
Wales took first place in the competition with 92 fish, followed by England in second with 63 fish, Ireland in third with 60 fish and Scotland taking fourth place with 33 fish.
Hardy & Greys, Product Manager Assistant, Scott Nellins, who was Reserve for the English team took part in the afternoon session’s after Simon Robinson couldn’t continue due to injury.

“Beating Wales on their own patch was always going to be hard. They had a team full of local anglers who knew the water well. In third place after the morning sessions we dug in deeply to grab the silver during the afternoon.â€
