a couple of years ago,me nad a mate went to fish walton pier but it was full so we decided to try off the beach instead.i,d remembered reading about walton naze in one of the mags,we eventually found it but didnt have a clue where to go.
my mate fished the beach to the left and i fished off the concrete to the right.
it was the best cod session i have ever had,i kept 4 for the table and returned all the rest.
interestingly,while i was catching all these cod quite a little crowd had formed to watch,and they all said that they had never seen anyone fishing the spot where i was as all the anglers always went to the left on to the beach.
just goes to show that local knowledge is not always the best.
only used big blow lug baits.
