As long as your prepaired for the cost here’s my advise . The Preston bib brace , and jacket is supposed to be proper waterproof ! Think it’s the Dryfish no2. DO NOT purchase any older models . IMO . Only the very recent one . The very newest Drennan bib brace and jacket also supposed to be proper waterproof . These will be 200£. And 250£ approx . Maybe your loaded and money is far from the issue .! 😉 Then you have to have Gortex . Stuff made for anglers from this stuff is available in most top end tackle shops but be prepared to fork out between 550£ and 650£ 😮 Guaranteed to be 100: waterproof and for the angler there’s nothing better or cheaper .IMO . Trawl your laptop for Gortex bargains and offers and you may get lucky but you’ll only get leggings , and no bib and brace . Plus Jacket of course . If looks are not of an issue trawl your laptop for ex army Gortex . Camoflaged of course ! For 50£ approx a suit called Flexothane coupled with warm clothing will get you by , but now you in the basement . Do lots of homework . 😉 😉 😉

The Preston DF 20 is the best ive worn will keep all the elements out you just need an extra layer underneath if its cold…. If you shop around on the net they are anywhere from £159 upwards…. I fished a full 5 hours in the rain the other day and I was bone dry… Worth a look

Gore-tex all the way. Expensive I know, but you get what you pay for.
Fantastic after-sales service with Sandra & the team @ Halkon Hunt.

Get on ebay and by some cheap goretex clobber.

Softshell Microfleece, goretex rain jacket, Skiiing salopettes and goretex overtrousers. about £120 all in.

Another vote for the preston df20. Fished a match last winter, it hammered down for the full 5 hours. So, all in all, I was out in heavy rain for around 7 hours. When I took the df20 off, I was completely bone dry. Some seem to have had problems with this suit, so must have been a bad batch somewhere along the line. But you could get that with anything you buy. I would highly recommend the df20 to anyone.. 🙂
