Weekly Report ending 18th April 2010
Lots of 100lb+ weights this week with 169lb off the Top pool on Thursday in a match. Pellet, red maggot and corn have been the best baits.
Top Pool
Big weights on Thursday’s open with three weights over 125lb caught on pellet/corn. Carp, roach and bream on all pegs fishing 9m out up/down in the water with banded pellet.
Bottom Pool
Corn fished in the margins has produced five 15lb to 18lb carp late on Friday and Saturday evening. Maggot for silverfish and f1 carp.
House Pool
F1 carp up in the water to maggot at 6m to 8m. Lots of bream and carp in the margins with corn. Lots of roach, perch and tench to maggot.
House 2/Extension Pool
Again the fish are up in the water on red maggot. Some good carp on pellet fished hard against the islands. F1 carp in the margins.
New Pool
The roadside pegs are producing lots of roach, bream and chub on maggot. F1 carp in the margins to corn or pellet.
Canal Pool
Red maggot is dominating this pool with f1 & f2 carp, commons, roach, rudd, bream, tench and barbel up/down in the water fishing at 2m to 4m.
Club Pool
Pellet has been the best bait for carp. Maggot for Roach, perch, tench and barbel.
