TF_MICK THE BOOKIEBrilliant result.A bit anxious near the end,but we have got there.Yes i thought our John had a good game, and all the players were up for it.Matt Upson,Ashley Cole, and Millner all had above average games imo.Indeed every man played his heart out,but and there is always a but with me i am afraid,Wayne just looks a yard short, and his touch seems to have desserted him.He is obviously out of sorts, and could still be carrying a niggle in that ankle.Lets hope the break can give him the time he needs to improve his fitness levels….WELL DONE ENGLAND…MTB. ~clap ~clap ~clap ~clap ~clap ~clap ~clap ~clap ~clap

TF_wightanglerAlmost like watching a different team! Some real hope there. Maybe the genuine reactions of fans earlier has given them the kick up the arse they needed.
Now the krauts and possibly the argies- you coud’nt make this up! -

TF_caster robParticipantNot really Jeff.
I didn’t expect much of them which is probably why I’ve failed to be “gripped” by the tournament as a whole.
Frustrating that even with a very poor side they played some decent stuff when they had to, I can’t imagine many other players scoring the way Quagliarella did in those circumstances.
Worst Italian defence I’ve seen, and I’ve been watching them since the ’60s and the first world Cup that I haven’t had even a small wager on them.
I backed the Argies this time.
Have to say I’m glad NZ didn’t qualify, they looked like they should have been in All Black.

TF_proper tidal boyHERBIE how much longer are you going to protect poor rooney????
if a player aint fit he shouldnt be picked end of. As to a change in performance by the team not before time NOWthey have the perfect next round to build on again maybe this will be our early final???debt interest building very nicely?? -

TF_SwimfeederThe Italians were crap last time round and cheated the French in the final IMO, I thoroughly enjoyed watching them get humbled this afternoon, I can understand why you admire them Rob…….they are nearly as cynical as you ha ha.
Cappello has his “team back” and it is no coincidence he changed HIS ways to achieve this, he knows his man management was not working and changed before it was too late, I did not realise he was an avid reader of my posts, I must admit, I admire him for that, and can offer some more advice ……keep reading my posts Fabio!!!!

TF_caster robParticipantI strongly refute that Bob.
They’re nowhere near my level!
Still, all the decisions went their way, just like in 2002.

con2302ParticipantAs a football manager myself, at a lower level I might add, I feel that the way to make Rooney perform against the Germans is to put him on the bench for the first 45mins.
Play Crouch and Defoe to start and by half time, Shrek will be champing at the bit to get on. I would also drop fat Frank as he hasn’t performed at all. Play Joe Cole left, Milner right, Gerrard front and Barry back of midfield diamond and get stuck right in. Cmon England !! -

Cmon England !!I don’t think anyone from the team that started against Slovenia should be dropped, they all preformed well enough to keep there place including Rooney he may not be at his best but he’s still dangerous.

con2302ParticipantDon’t get me wrong Mark. I rate Rooney very highly and would have started with him in the previous matches.I just don’t think he looks fully fit and I think 45mins would be enough. The second 45 would be better because he plays with his heart on his sleeve and sitting on the bench winds him up.
No one has disagreed with dropping fat Frank though !
