What does it take to be good at carp fishing/angling? Anyone got any advice for me?

In no particular order

1 – Consideration of your surroundings
2 – abiding to the rules of the water
3 – fish care
4 – consideration of other anglers
5 – using your own methods rather than following what is “in”
6 – always thinking how you can improve on what you are doing
7 – listen to good advice

goonie is correct but overall time spent on the bank practiisng and learning about the waters you fish…….always fish to your strengths while trying to improve your weaker elements
