TF_Gavin£40 on a Korum Super Strong landing net pole eight years ago. I know it’s not the lightest, but it’s slim, stiff and very strong. The only downside is I wish I’d bought a spare one!

TF_Kagger TNBNot me, and not £50, but I had a walk round a carp lake last summer when there was a match on.
There was a very impressive selection of kit on display. Top of the range poles and boxes.Roosts with multiple top kits and rods etc etc.
I remember saying to my mate ” There’s tens of thousands of pounds worth of kit on display and I haven’t seen one catapult…”

TF_inky fingerShakespeare Superteam landing net handle .. bomb proof. Small spomb just brilliant in a cross wind and can be used on a normal uprated feeder rod.

TF_AnthonywatersParticipantBoss double roller bought in 1999 worth every penny, I tried to replace it with a Preston One in 2008 and some plastic bit snapped on the Preston leg and rendered it useless the Boss roller was dug out of the shed .

I agree with that, one of mine is a year or two older and still going strong! Don’t however go and buy the new version since the patent was bought out. Nowhere near as solid, and in weeks I had to replace the pins holding the vertical rollers as they’d snapped, the legs are much flimsier, the screws are much poorer quality than the original Boss one. Oh, and the new one (one year old) has more rust on it than my fourteen year old one! Totally made on the cheap and not Boss quality.

TF_geepsterParticipantI’ve been asking about platforms recently and there are also a lot of plaudits for the Preston one (the four wheel job). Have you tried/looked at both?

TF_Yare Rod1. £1.80 on a packet of series 18’s for pole fishing on the river – hook pulls no more.
2. £30 on a Daiwa hardcase to give me 20 mins extra set up time.
3. ?? p the phone call to my partner in crime (TNB) to ‘encourage’ him to get back on the river. -

TF_allyParticipantOctopus leg system and footplate. Probably saved my back. Sealskin socks may not count as tackle but keep me on the bank.
