TF_AnthonywatersParticipantAirity was replaced very quickly as a flagship pole in my opinion, Firstly the Airity was marketed as ” A Tourny with a better finish” Then 2 years later they gave the Tourny a better finish ……………? Just my opinion but I dont think the Airity is a bigger seller as the pro I bought myself an Airity its a cracking piece of kit but I could have bought 2 Whiskers or 3 G8s for the same coin.

TF_baitchefParticipantI’m getting a top end Daiwa next spring, as I hardly fish the winter so dont see the point in getting one now and was just wondering if i should hold on a bit longer?

TF_AnthonywatersParticipantThe Airity is 3 years old nearly I dont think they will change it yet

TF_baitchefParticipantI might hold out for a decent second hand one then, a few might come up in the winter?

TF_JohnHIf I was considering the Arity I would compare it to the TPRO X. The X is £500 cheaper or thereabouts and is just as good. The only real difference is in the spares package, with the Arity you get top 4s and the X top 3s. In short if you fish lots of long rigs it might be worth the extra but not for commercials I fish.
I suspect both poles will be around for a while yet.
If you are taking your time also BC take a look at the Fireblood, if I hadnt had a TP already this would have been my choice. It has had some bad press for availability and price of spares but check it out as a lot of rubbish has been written about it so do not dismiss it. -

TF_SliderI would seriously consider the Tri Cast Trilogy
I handled one on Saturday up next to my G10 and its far far lighter, just as strong, the walls are solid. Not quite as stiff but we are talking fractions here.
Its lighter then my Maver 481 too but again not quite as stiff but again its tiny amouints.
At 16m it felt like a 13m pole !

What do you meen like having them get stuck all the time ?
How difficult is a simple twist when putting them together

Twisting does not stop them constantly coming loose and causing breakages or losses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TF_justin caseBut its a very good precautional method to ensure tightness without locking up the section.
All joints on all poles will eventually come loose especially with constant slapping and the same motion the pole is put through is put into practice when trying to get stuck sections apart.
We can’t have it all ways how hard is it to check the joints every now and then while shipping out ? if I ever had a head set come off whilst fishing I would put it down to bad angling

TF_NathanWatsonI check every time I ship out but at Larford Match lake a few weeks ago it was coming apart whilst slapping before I got a bite!

Buy a good pole…………….It doesnt take a genius to figure it out. TEFLON JOINTS
Have a maver 501 and sections never came off. Its the best pole Ive ever handled and used, and I have looked at most.
Ask any member of the Irish, Scottish or Welsh squad who fished last years Celtic Cup on Lough Muckno. Every Daiwa Pole became unstuck due to constant unshipping.
Why pay £2000 plus on a pole to have to go and tape up all sections.
Thanks to Maver im happy.

tournament_promine comes apart but I check it every time
never lost a section or had it come apart whilst actually fishing
but if I didnt check it most times it would have been disasterous a few times
still wouldnt swap my TPro for anything
had the new TPro-X up against a brand new browning Z9 everyones going on about
the TPro was marginally better and there were at least 4 people who agreed, but as I said, only marginally and Z9 is quite a bit cheaper
