spidercrabDitto. I have decided to go red again just in case! Family holiday in Tenby next week for me but hopefully the codling will stick around for a little longer and Hayling is about 180 miles closer to home…

spidercrabBlimey. Looking at what the codling expect to be served up, maybe we can shortcut the process.
Anyone got a recipe for baked lug on a potato rosti? Sauvignon blanc or chablis to go with that?
Or maybe just 8 tins os Special Brew beforehand.

TF_peterbMy Dad went down to Hayling beach today around high tide – he said there was loads of fishing going on – but no cod to be seen.
Are they only being caught overnight Ada?

WaveyDaveyAda, call on your expertise…..cough…..cough….following your ‘lip-hooked’ comments above. I caught a couple of bass in the summer – one on a 2/0 hook and sandeel and one on 4/0 with peeler. Both swallowed the hooks – deep, deep down. Normally I de-hook and release…but these two were past gills. Now I read you can simply cut the line and release – is that total bollocks or actually true. Will they swim to feed another day – seems unlikely!?!? In the end one made it, the other didn’t – I have felt bad since…. Cheers Ada
