Which feeder line

  Just bought meself a new shakey mach 3 040 reel for feeder fishing and was using korum reel line in 4,5,6,8lb. what in your opinion is the best sinking feeder line for carp. I did use maximo but it has a bit too much stretch.

  8lb Shimano technium for me too, i wish they did a 4lb & a 6lb, this stuff is incredibly strong, have used it at drayton and earlswood with no probs what so ever.

  to be honest having left several types in washing up lquid for days to no major discernable effect until wear and tear take the shinyness off for sinking, am wondering whether the speci-boys use of fluorocarbon main lines would be advantageous given it’s propensity to sink comparable to normal nylon.

  is it best to put the spool in a bucket of water when putting it on your reel? or get someone to hold it witht a pen through the middle?
