I have been using the KC Carpa Bully floats for fishing upto islands and far banks etc in shallow water. I bought 20 of them last year and the last 3 finally disintergrated on saturday, i’ve decided to have a change as they just aren’t hard wearing enough. I was wondering what everyone else was using for fishing like this in say upto 2 feet of water. Cheers.

if there is a lot of weed or rushes I use a korum blob but Hillbilly makes a ratcatcher that’s great for that

I did that with mine, just about all of them broke the same – the stem pulled out the bottom of the body. Unless i got a bad batch ???

A fox MP2 is just perfect in EVERY way for fishing to islands. I just love them.

Why don’t you get some peacock quills cut them in say 3ins lengths put some cocktail sticks in and paint the tips red or yellow or black and use them.Peacock quills are only 50p each.I knew some body who did this.

Thats a good call yorkiboy. I used to use the same thing when I fished the Oxford canal,Aylesbury arm ect when fishing up the rat holes. Used to use wire or carbon stems from old floats double araldited, two or three rubbers. Cost penny’s so dont mind losing a few. Mostly at the time to my club mates lol..

You will not break these!! They are made for exactly the sort of fishing you are doing.
