That is a huge weight if it is! I’d pressume 12oz-1lb fish as bigger would pose problems to do a weight like that?

It was 316lb, form the breinton section of the river, i was tols the fish ranged from 2 -5lb, all caught on the waggler, a big weight was always on the cards as the river was very low and clear but that is exceptional, well done Lee

Talk at the results was 70 fish ….. so getting on for 5lb average!

It was the same peg that Woody won from 4 years ago with 170lb …. and is clearly stuffed with Chub when the river is low and clear at this time of year.
Results were better yesterday than on that match 4 years ago – when 20lb was 6th.
This time round 48lb was last in the frame, and there were other 40’s and 30’s. Fish were pretty shoaled up though.

Brilliant performance from Lee Edwards ….. Not sure that I would have the energy to do that kind of weight!

Lee sent me a text Sunday night to tell me how it had gone. He just said:
Won Wye Champs today with 316lb.Previous record 178lb. I can’t feel my fingers!

Cracking weight, just shows there is more to fishing than shipping a pellet out in a puddle that has been converted to hold fish.

Wish my local had that in it, but have to deal with a chemical spillage a few months ago

Dave total angling…….boldings will be the make or break for the teams this week, it will be damage limitation for eveyone against rod and gun in my opinion …..with how the place is fishing though its too hit and miss too predict
