I saw on another site that it was won with 68lb by Stu Ballard but don’t know from where.

We all said it would be won with 65-70lb.

Stu Ballard won with 68lb and I think Darren Cox was second with 67lb from New Lake.

Still waiting for more info

He also said that if it fished hard it could be won from New lake….But he really fancied Main lake,with someone catching the big Carp on the “Wag”

when Andre read out the results he definatly said that Stu was on Cherry Tree lake.

Main Lake fished crap. I won the section (and the lake i think) with 1 carp and a skimmer for 7-8, there was only 1 other small carp caught on the lake!!

He was on Cherry Tree at the Dam end. I drew Johns, enough said. Been down there the last two days for some photos and that, must say there seems to be a lot of work going on there and hopefully it’ll be back upto strength over the next couple of years.

I was on main lake and never had a carp bite along with another 8 out of the ten that fished it,probably the worst summers day fishing ive ever had,well done to Stu a good weight on cherry and good luck in the final.

can you remember what the guy had on peg 9 on cherry tree the guy next to the winner and on the point of the island as he had a few fish on the method

there were 17 pegs left in the hat after the draw – of these 9 were termed as flyers !
amongst them pegs 2 back spit, pegs 1,24,26 old lake, peg 1 oak tree. must draw late !!

Pikey,

62lb won oak on what i think was peg 5, i was 2nd on the lake with 37lb off peg 8. Couldnt get a bite on the pole, down the edge or anywhere, the only bites i did have on the pole was from crayfish. I know the guy on peg 6 really suffered with the crays. I had all mine on the method to corner of the island.

Yesterday was my 1st trip to willinghurst and i enjoyed the day apart from the early morning traffic – 3.5 hours from newmarket. I managed to catch a koi which had never been caught before which had been moved over from another lake, 8 more fish followed for 60lb, one more decent fish and i’d been in dream land! Better try harder at lindholme!
