The HEDEGHOG is a sphere with 26 plastic arms, available in three sizes. Sitting on the bed of the lake, it creates an impregnable refuge. It is possible to cast into the refuge and not get hung up (unlike its cumbersome wire cage competitor).
It’s light weight makes it user- friendly and simple to install. Dispatched by courier to any address in the UK ,* the Hedgehog can be clipped together by anyone from the age of 6 to 106 . It is best to do this on site, as five Hedgehogs will turn your sitting room into a forest !
A line of Hedgehogs through the centre of a match fishery, will create equal fishing at every peg, while at the same time protecting the water from the birds. A team of 5-12 hedgehogs becomes a vast reef. DEFRA funded research suggests refuges can reduce predation by up to 80%.
Ideal for fishing clubs and fishing complexes with several bodies of water, the Hedgehogs can be easily lifted and relocated. For the first time it gives fisheries with a closed season the opportunity to set the Hedgehogs when needed and simply remove them if they wish when the anglers return in June.
