A MONSTER ghost carp weighing 43lb 4oz has been taken from the River Trent at Nottingham.
The fish, tempted by Breaston, Derbyshire angler Brian Fallon, is the biggest known carp in the river and fell for Formula 1 boilies fished on a notoriosuly snaggy stretch of water.
Luckily when Brian hooked the personal best fish, late in the afternoon, it powered away from rather than towards the snags.
Brian also took three other carp and an 8lb barbel in the two day session.
