FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS Its still the carp that are providing the best action at the moment with the F1s still not feeding properly. There were a few 20lb+ fish caught last week and one angler had 2 of them in a match from peg 44 which came to 8mm pellet down the margins. The carp anglers have caught best by fishing boilies tight to the island or down the edges. In the matches nets close to 100lb were caught and the best tactics have been method/pellet feeder to the island ,pellet waggler and long pole shallow with pellet or caster on a jigger.

GEARYS Still the most in form pool over the past week with 100lb+ catches in the matches and pleasure anglers exceeding that. Method feeder with wafters to the middle stumps, Bomb with 8mm pellet, long pole with 6mm pellet and down the margins with dead maggot, corn over micros or banded hard pellet have all caught a few carp. Silvers nets to around 40lb also featured this week with meat or caster/worm over groundbait working best. The most consistent areas have been from pegs
9 – 13, 19 – 24 and 30 – 33.

LITTLE GEARYS Fished a little better this week with match weights to around 130lb but its been the bigger carp that have made up the better nets with the f1s still a little iffy. Top tactics have been method/pellet feeder to the island, pellet waggler shallow with pellet or caster at 14- 16m and down the margins with hard pellet, worm or corn. The most consistent pegs have been 7 – 15 and 21 – 29.

GRATUITIES The end pegs on either side of the pool have been best with carp showing down the margins and at the end of the island. Method feeder to the island and corn or pellet down the margins has caught carp to 15lb+. Some nice silver nets are coming to maggot/caster or expander pellet fished over micros or ground bait.

ANNIVERSARIES Still not in the best form with match and pleasure nets to around 60lb best but most pegs are seeing f1s and silvers showing. Hard pellet ,caster or maggot fished shallow or on the deck has been the best approach, but on the wider pegs a small pellet waggler or the bomb has also been doing ok.

SIBLINGS A Still very up and down with the f1s not feeding as well as they can and nets to around 70lb were best. Carp to double figures and F1s to 5lb have made up the better nets and caster shallow, down the margins and banded hard pellet on the pole across to the island have been the top tactics.

SIBLINGS B The end pegs on the pool from 5 – 10 has still been the best area with nets to 80lb caught there. Pole fished caster shallow or down the margins has been the best tactic but pellet, worm and corn have also worked well.

WILLOW Still fishing very hard with nets to around 40lb best this week. A small method feeder fished to the island has been the top tactic but waggler with pellet and corn or pellet fished down the margins has also accounted for a few fish. Pegs 5- 10 have been the most consistent pegs.
