A hard frost made it very hard on both lakes with the top weights all coming from the same section on the Maunside, Dean Richmond again drew peg 2 on the Maunside fishing pole and alternating between corn meat and maggot he had chub – 1lb in the first half on the match and carp – 3lb in the 2^nd half, His travelling partner Don on peg 4 fished the same method but having mostly chub. Best on the Cavendish was Jason Thomas at peg 11 he fished pole and caster up in the water for an all roach net.

A very frosty start to this match were most anglers struggled for  bites, at the end of the match there was still ice on the puddles round the lake, Neil fished pole and pellet at 8m he had one carp of 8lb in the first hour of the match 3 roach in the middle and an other 8 lber in the last half hour finishing 8oz in front of Glen, he fished the straight lead and popped up corn cast to the old lily pad at peg 25 he had 7 carp – 3lb steady through out the match

Dave fished pole corn and pellet on two lines out at 14m and down the margin, after a slow start he had 8 carp – 7lb within an hour but when it started to rain and the bites slowed up and he only had 3 more in the last 2 hours, winning the match with 52lb 1oz, coming 4^th in the fun league and winning £100 for being on a golden peg made it a very profitable day for him. Jim drew at peg 1 sheltered from the elements he fished his new pole and pellet at 14m tight to the lily pad for 14 carp – 5lb loosing 5 other fish in the pad that would have given him the lead.

Neil fished a small ground and meat cast to the far bank at peg 13 he had 6 skimmers – 2lb and 6 carp – 6lb later in the match finishing in the top spot with 28lb 4oz that was made better when he drew out peg 13 for and extra £100 for being on a golden peg, 2^nd for the 2^nd match in a row John fished pole and pellet he had one 3lb carp and the rest of his catch was made up of skimmers – 1lb
