        I have £1000 to spend on new pole Got it down to either preston 2G81 or Maver 301 usual venues now carp upto 10lb with main target arount 4-6lb Which one comments please

          had a waggle of the 301 well impressed.have not handled the 2g81 so cant say.because of the fishing i do i settled for the garbo C/M but was well impressed with the 301.

            Ive got a 2g81 and its a fantastic piece of kit i use it with light elastics upto size ten, i use my conny g8 for what your describing john its bang on.

              get a g8, much better than both those, stiff, light and hard as hell

                Yo johnp76..been using the 301 since april..can’t fault it mate,won 7 matches this season,several fish over 10 lbs,no probs and also held it at 16mts,like any pole at that distance,it takes some gettin used to,but its up to the job..give it a waggle as they say..works for me.
