I read a lot of articles about anglers such a Steve Ringer using spread bulk shotting patterns.

I have tried to use a spread bulk myself on some of my rigs but cannot really see if I am doing it right.

Can somebody explain to me what they believe a “spread bulk” is and also why and when they would use it and what benefits it has over a standard bulk and droppers pattern. How far away from the hook do you position the last shot?

I think one of the benefits is the fish do not feel the bulk when but not sure of others.

          Missed a bit!

I think one of the benefits is the fish do not feel the bulk when “taking the bait” but not sure of others.

it goes dow through the last section of water slower i.e. if there are fish say 1 foot from the bottom you have more of a chance of getting a bite.
Personally I think fish will feel it MORE than a normal bulk but with it going down a bit slower you will get more bites and probably more fish
