I find all this talk about turning waterways into roads very worrying, after all, its only been a month since plans were announced to turn the grand union canal into a trunk road and the English Channel into the worlds widest motorway. Rumour has it that Edgebaston Resevoir is going to become a car park and work has already began on the River Thames drive through supermarket!
