Short notice i know but i’m fishing the above on sunday and ive never been before.

Been told its about 13 mtrs wide not too deep, fish wise chub to far bank and skimmers/roach down the track.

Could anyone please provide me with some more info please on baits/tactics?

        Any help would be appreciated.

        Thanks

          tench down the track
feed a pot of chop & caster & try a big chunk of worm

last time I went they’d chopped out all the ivy’s & weeds on the far bank so nothing showed over there

watch for signs of eels as well & fish for them with a strong elastic, white maggots always seemed a good choice for the eels

don’t get obsessed chasing those shallow chub either, they’re spookier than the ghost train at blackpools pleasure beach

Thanks for that Dave i will have a re think about my plan of action and let you know how i do, I’m useless on canals so dont expect to do a great deal tbh, fishing Portland water on saturday and that promises to be a good match if it fishes anything like it did last year!

            Thanks again
