Yes, Dave. Its the same methods as it has been for the last 10 years. Pellet up or down and caster up. Thats it, now just go and fish it. Its the most basic venue i know!

Pellet on the deck sounds simple but the F1’s are no mugs and you will be up against some top pellet and local anglers so your rigs and feeding need to be spot on, there has been an explosion of small roach and gudgeon this year so meat being more silver proof has been working well but do not feed too much. Great place to learn how to fish pellet for F1’s though.

I must be a top pellet angler in that case as i have no problem in catching the F1s on the better pegs. 1-13, 20-23, 34, 35, 41-45, 50-52 and 57-60.

Dave, Brookside snake lake is one of those waters where you have to work very hard to keep in contact with the fish. 2 or 3 swims across, 2 swims down the middle, a swim under your feet and both margins. The fish could be anywhere in your swim and working out which swims are going to be the most productive is the key to winning. If you are not getting bites in the first swim you need to move to the next swim very quickly and the next and the next. When you find the fish you get bites almost instantly. Work out the most productive swims in the first 4 hours of the match and then target these areas in the final 2 hours of the match when the F1s start to switch on properly. However, dont ignore the swims you struggled with in the first half of the match. These areas can be very useful for picking up quick fish in the last hour of the match and can often produce a lump.
