FISHING REPORT
MOLANDS . Still fishing quite hard with the clear water making it tough, match weights to close to 100lb were the highlight this week. Bomb or pellet waggler with 8mm pellet, method feeder and if you fish into the evening down the margins with corn over micros. The pleasure anglers fishing surface baits have had the better of the fishing with carp to 20lb coming out.
GEARYS Fishing really well with match weights to 160lb+ and lots of 100lb nets coming out. Bomb with 8mm pellet is the outstanding tactic but shallow pole with pellet,or down the margins with dead reds or corn and pellet waggler also producing well. Carp showing all around the pool but pegs 9-16 and 27-31 have been the hotspots.
LITTLE GEARYS Lots of shallow fish being caught with pellet or caster fished on a jigga or a fixed rig at 8-12 inches and its mainly f1s up to 7lb that are coming to this.the bigger carp with fish to 20lb featuring in catches are coming to bomb or waggler fished across to the island or down the margins on corn, dead reds and worm. The best pegs have been 7-15 and 23-29
SIBLINGS A A little better this week with nets to around 70lb and some nice carp to 15lb and f1s to 6lb being caugh. Meat, banded hard 4mm or expander pellet fished tight up to the island or down the margins has worked best but dobbing bread or corn has still been catching.
SIBLINGS B Still not in the best of form with nets 50lb best this week. Meat, worm or corn fished down the edges has picked up better sized carp and f1s later in the day. The most consistent pegs have been 5- 13
ANNIES Fished a little more consistent this week with nets to around 80lb but decent back up weights are coming from most areas. Pole fished pellet ,maggot or corn has worked well fishing up to the islands or any feature. On the wider pegs bomb with 6mm pellet or wafters can be great.
WILLOW Really popular with the pleasure anglers, Willow has been fishing well this week with plenty of carp and f1s showing on most pegs. Fishing tight to the island with wagglers or feeders and down the margins with worm or corn over micro pellets is the way to go at the moment.
GRATUITIES The noted corner pegs 1,8,9 and 15 still producing the better carp sport on float fished corn or worm down the edges. On the other pegs method feeder or waggler tight up to the island has worked best. Grats offers good mixed nets of Skimmers, F1s ,chub and roach fishing maggot or caster down the middle of the pool.
