Fished it a few times over the years, its all close in top 2 stuff, pellet or paste tight to the pole tip. The method is let them hang themselves basically. They have opens on a Saturday, Sunday and I think Wednesday. Hope this helps

Skip appears to be doing the business. I am pretty sure his email addy is available through his user name, have a scan through some old posts to see if you can locate him.

can’t beleive 131lb can win a match, 5th gets 81lb and then say the fishing was not very good! lol. What are the weights like normally?

It’s quite simple fishing here but speed is of the essence.

Seen Roy Fish when he got almost 300lb and he was fishing right at the edge of the platform – if not under it. The trick is to let the carp hook themselves or you will miss a lot of bites. Roy was fishing with the float touching the connector and 90% of the top 2 in the air.

They sell their own pellets down there which the fish seem to like better than anything else – £2 a bag. Use the micro they sell as the feed and the larger ones on the hook(6mm)- also add a few samples of these to the feed. Dont need a great deal of feed as the fish are already there and live down the edges. All fish are between 6oz – 20 oz! Whatever you do don’t use more than your top 2!

when I was there I used black hydro and on the winder bung wound it 3 more times around to make it tighter so they could not go anywhere.
fish shallow above the shoal or you will get liners that do your head in,constantly feed 1 pellet and as soon as you hook one feed 6-8 pellet.
Dot your float right down and hit any movement (only do this when fishing above the shoal).
Imo when I fished there the biggest factor in hitting every bite vs missing bites was to dot the float right down or even have it a tiny bit overshotted.
All info I just gave was for fishing shallow as when I fished the deck or just off it it did my fuggin head in.
It took me 3 hours to get it right but in the last 2 hours I had 96 fish,I guess I still didn’t get it right compared to what the lads are catching now but on the day it won me the match
