David Aldana will be the envy of big fish anglers across Europe after banking this magnificent Comizo barbel weighing a massive 37lb (16.8kg).
The mighty fish came at eight in the morning on the second day of a three day session on Lake Penarolla in Spain, David baiting with boilies and fishing boilies on a size 6 hook.
It put up a bruising 15 minute battle before David was able to slip the landing net under the fish of a lifetime. If claimed, which is thought unlikely, it’s believed the fish would set a new IGFA All tackle world record.
