          Both work, hemp and caster for the pole, fishmeal and pellet in the feeder for the skimmers.
          You’ll need at least a gram float,two if it’s pulling through.

              Don’t under-estimate the power of the slider and long rod either. Both deadly on the right peg. With regular feeding of bronze maggot. Little and often.

                Andy, Its the Red Lion at Barnton that you are fishing. The pegs in the shadow of the old building seem to be better. If the river has colour then you will probably get skimmers on the tip, if it is gin clear like it was on Sunday then target the Roach on the pole.
