Just bought a Aspire 1600 pro from Climax Tackle for £1249.
Used it for the first time at Lindholme on Saturday.
unbelievably versatile.
May be worth considering as a upgrade.

The only thing what put me off the Pro at climax is the price of the spares!!

Yes Rob..Your right about the high spares prices.
These are based on the highly inflated R.R.P. of £4K.for the pole.
I think they could be obtained pro rata the discounted price via a good tackle dealer.
Some of the generic Diawa sections also fit this pole.
I required a spare match top 3 and bought a Fox universal kit for £29.99.
Just a small amount of fettling and it works fine and does not upset the balance at all.
