madforitLee,
Your asking the wrong person mate,I’m struggling to sort it out myself matey.
4 or 6mil Pellet over potted pellet(micros) at 13mt or even 14.5mt is what a quite few fish.
I think you might still catch at 5-6mts on the pole aswell.
Also hair rigged meat on the bomb will catch you fish.
If they single bank it, a groundbait/small method feeder with meat or corn over to the net holes will catch aswell. There you go to many methods is probably why I’m struggling LOL.

pellethead76ye mate forgot heronbrook for me sunday what appened 2 you sunday john didnt fancy it mate
at the moment le mo i would be happy and where i sat except pool 3 cos i personally dont like pool 3 cos there aint enough skimmers in it but at the weekend most of the weights came from end pegs there were weights off every pool bar pool 3 and 5 there was a 64lb 14 off pool 1 there was a 99lb and 64lb 10 pool 4 there was a 57lb odd and pool 6 there was a 69lb if i could pick a pool it would be pool 4 at the moment as its firing on all cylinders

madforitThese are my thoughts maybe pellethead will think slightly different.
Middle of pool 4,
Middle to roadside of pool 3.
Middle of pool 2.
middle of pool 1 if it’s in.
Not sure about pool 5, but you don’t want pool 6
As for weights deppening on the temp/weather probably 80lb will win it.
Then 30-40 could win you a section. This was sundays result acording to A/mail..(I wasn’t there)
New Pools, Whitmore, Staffordshire. Sun. 70. Robbie Dean (Browning Border Select) 99-4-0, carp to 6 lb, tench and barbel, poled pellet, Pool 2 peg 58; Neil Machin (Mosella Garbolino) 69-12-0; Sean Turner (Ray’s Tackle) 64-14-0; Dave Swain (Mosella Garbolino) 64-10-0; Andy Moors (Mosella Garbolino) 57-8-0; John Ogden (Preston Innovations) 57-4-0.

pellethead76there is 2 big shoals of fish at the moment on pool 4 the 1st shoal is road end pegs 116 to 112 or opposite bank 121 to 124 and the other is woodend 107 to 103 and opposite bank 129 to 134 i would be well chuffed if i drew any of these areas tues on the rover chris jones had 96lb opposite 114 and i had 107lb on peg 106 if the conditions had been more favourable i think you would of seen much higher weights off pool 4

TF_Hillbillyle,mo try to avoid pool3 at the moment. It fished crap on sunday. I sat four fookin hours on peg91 for ONE bite and that came off. 🙁 Jacked it in at 2.30 and went to watch Skezza who had only had one fish from a peg that produced a ton a couple of weeks ago !! Odd fish started coming out after 3pm but that is way to late to get in the frame. I know they have moved fish from 1 and 3 into 4, 5 and 6 to “even the pools up” but either they have over done it or maybe 3 needs more time to settle down. Say hello sunday I will be the biggest angler you can see with my TF shirt on. 🙂

pellethead76le mo i use 0.12 3lb and white hydro you can catch anythink from a lb to 8lb but they arnt fightin very hard but still have a bit of a kick left in em but whites perfect i use 4mm or 6mm dynamite baits an a bit of corn for the hook but dont feed any as lately it has been a kiss of death but things might be different come the weekend i had 20 fish on the tip on tues and the rest were on pole 14ms i av had about 25 mirrors 10 f1s a dozen tench and half a dozen barbels

AnonymousThe feeling i got on Sunday was that the carp in most of the pools where either in a few pegs in the middle of the pools and the end 3 or 4 pegs towards the road end. The only pool that seemed different to this was pool 2 where the carp are at the woods end of the pool. Pool 3 was extreamly hard on Sunday with only 11 smallish carp enough to win all of that pool. Quite a few of the anglers including myself struggled to get a bite on a number of different baits and methods. Top 6 weights came off 4 different pools, 1, 2, 4 and 6 so no pool dominant. Things could change this weekend as the weather seems to be more settled and warmer. Could also be single banked which i believe is better as it give you a few more options!

lemocheers hillbilly
me and daddy mo will say hello if we can sus who you are …..cheers for the info lads much appreciated ….
are all the pools roughly the same depths -
30/10/2007 at 9:32 pm #66947
TF_HillbillyAll about the same depth with the margins being deeper on the pegs that have most reed growth. Rigs the length of a Daiwa no2 and 3 will be ample.
