If your on top one bomb and corn to island if you can’t reach with pole,On pole line about 13-14.5m feed hemp through small cup regularly fishing corn over top is the way for the carp,there’s plenty of roach to be had on caster shallow if carp are not showing.

Bottom lake is the best one.
8m out with caster on deck and shallow for carp-3lb and loads of roach -8oz,you can also catch well in margins if you got room or spare peg next to you in which case fish right in front of the spare platform,hemp corn and caster.

Ive not fished it for a year but this is how we used to always fish it.

Winning weights were between 35lb -50lb with 10lb of these would be silvers.

i fished the match lake last weekend.

peg 2 won 23lb.
peg 7 2nd 21lb.
peg 20 3rd 15lb.

we had 4 frosts prior to this match.

as baz says there is a lot of quality roach and skimmers.
i had 13lb in a match last december to frame on bloodworm.
the out and out fliers are 20 , 1 and 2 on the boards.
fish tight to these and hold on, drag them out or you will lose fish!

top 3 this match caught on chopped worm and caster.

worst pegs imo in the winter are 8 – 12 in the narrow bit (but they fish better in the summer).

bread , cat+dog meat and groundbait banned!!!!!

the match lake is the back one furthest away from the car park , no islands on this one.

20 pegs on it but fishes best if no more than 15 anglers on it imo.
