ebbwmilo and bodge, help!

  you guys know manor farm, fished middle pool today and blanked! fished 4mm pellets with red maggot and jellets for the hook, one line at 9m and one at 13, started feeding very little via a toss pot after an initial pot of about half a handful of 4mm, tried altering depth, shotting etc, wind was blowing to the other end. any ideas? im puzzled!

  what peg were you on tom? which way was the wind blowing and where did the weights come from? what was caught around you?

  couldn’t see the number, it was the first corner that you come to past island pool, wind was left to right, nearly calm by me, and choppy to the right, only a pleasure session, nobody else on the pool!!!

  first of all mate dont worry you havent done anything wrong. the fish on middle pool appear to have shoaled up early as i know 2 very good anglers faired the same or pretty much the same from the same area in a match a few weeks ago. (and believe me if there were fish there they would catch them.) the majority of the fish seem to be smack bang in the middle of the lake. if you have a look on the web (http://www.manorfarmleisure.co.uk) you will see from the match results. (assuming you know the pegging.)
  my advice if your pleasure fishing would be to fish lsland lake as this is fishing well and the fish are well spread. there is alot of fish in this lake but it will help you get aclimatised with reguards to feeding and amounts of feed. (you can only learn if your getting bites.)
  if you then apply those methods and feeding to middle believe me if they are there you’ll catch em.
  reg feeding try starting with 30-40 pellets and then top up with a kinder cup but 4-6 pellets each time you’ll be amazed the difference this will make to say feeding 15 at a time (sound anal but it works. keep in touch.

  keep me posted mate. dont forget there are matches on weds and thurs if you can get there. you could have a little look at the other lads who fish it and pick their brains a bit. they are all very approachable. if im there over the next couple mof weeks ill let you know. come and have a chat.
