got to admit i have never used mine past 13m but would rather have the option of the extra sections should i need them, dont really fish commercials much but if i do try my local ones – tylers common/colemans cottage the extra sections could come in handy and i will give them a go one day

            cheers mike

Always catch as short as you can but very often the further you fish the more fish you will find particularly on snakes ………

Yes, definitely! Obviously it depends in part on the type of venues you fish, but I have had my 16m section out of the bag on practically every match I have fished this year, whether it be to gain an edge over the guys around me when fishing shallow, fishing across to an island that is just out of reach at 14.5m, or fishing long with paste when wise old carp have backed off from my normal 13/14m lines.

i agree with gary, im using mine more and more, 17.5m in fact, some of the draws on the cornish circuit demand it. it will catch you more fish.

How many of us actually have 16m as many remove the No 1’s cut back to fit bungy rope and internal bushes or leave a metre behind us to balance the pole. We would all have long lengths if the price was right

try coming on our canal circuit, i seem to spend most matches with 16m plus out!!!! nightmare

same as winter league if there’s an island at 17.5 m or further . you dont have the extentions but lad on next peg does ; prepare to get batter’d

But a lot easier, fishing 16m for 5 hrs is hard work.

You don’t have to actually fish at a full 16m. For example you can fish at 13 or 14.5 metres but have the full 16m set up wit a couple of metres behind you to balance the pole and make life easier when holding it, a full-crum so to speak!. I see it time and time again, anglers fishing at 13m with the very end of the pole under their hand and struggling in the wind to hold it steady! why make life difficult for yourself? chuck another section on an balance the pole ;o)
