Due to the recent poor form of Suez and Brewster’s canals it was agreed by a vote amongst the anglers that from now on ALL weekend opens will be on the New Pools and will be pegged single bank only whenever possible. I believe the Winter League teams of three series will use other lakes/canals also.

Wish they had took the vote this morning Neil, I had two pound off a flyer.

Ha ha Steve, it was not much better where I was but I did manage joint second on pool and joint section win from Brewsters 26 with 7lb 8oz and even had time (lots of it) to wander down the lodge for a portion of chips and a hot drink mid match. 🙂

Neil/Steve, whats happened to suez and brewsters, i started fishing cudmore about september last year and them canals were not this bad even in the depths of winter? Have they been this bad before, must admit i have only been fishing on the Sunday on the new pools but was gonna have a go on the Saturday for a change but seeing the results lately has put me off, mind you the pools can be as bad in places, especially for an amatuer like me!! How did the pools fish this sunday, i couldnt make it this week?
              Thanks
              Gary

Hi Dave, the strips are fairly consistant at the moment but as with any winter venue you need to draw on fish. Best thing about the strips is that you never really know where that somewhere will be from one day to the next so you cannot write off ant peg until you have fished it. I think you needed about 40lb to finish in the top six on sunday but not sure as I had been watching telivision at home for two hours by the time all out was called. 🙂
