What i want to know is if you were to pre mix groundbait or make up some expanders before a match at home. would you use tap water? does this affect it in any way or should i bottle some lake water and do it that way.Your thoughts on this would be appreciated.

        T.2.

i have always used tap water, because i believe that any chlorine will be masked by the groundbaits smell and attracters, and will dissapate once in the lake.

Bodge i read somewhere that if you mix your g/bait the night before it makes no differance.

i do know that if you leave tapwater standing overnight, by the morning it will be fine. and thats from mr f,blues himself..

I dont think fish minda bit of chlorine look at all the other chemical additives anglers use,I do firmly believe though if you dont have faith in something then dont do it. Years ago when people first started fishing corn in winter i never had faith in this method and to this day i cannot catch on corn in winter !

what does a dog prefer (tap water or ditch water )the latter in most cases so why not take a bottle of water from your fishery when you leave problem sorted.

I do not believe that it makes one iota of difference providing you are making your groundbaits up in advance the previous evening.
However if you have any doubt then boil your water, allow it to cool and then mix your groundbaits. The chlorine will have been driven off.

just put some tap water in a bucket for 24 hours still/no movement and it takes all the chlorine out
