Colin MParticipantFished the Winsford Winter League yesterday – Aerosol stretch. I was one of 17 blanks in the 20 peg section (won with 2 ounces). During the 5 hours, it occurred to me that ‘aerosol’ is nearly a perfect anagram of ‘arse****’
Did anyone else make any startling discoveries while fishing yesterday?

MaesknollNo startling discoveries, but I did get soaked, cold and all for 2lb of small roach and chub. Winter leagues, we must be mad!!
To top it all off, I snapped the tip section of my favourite waggler rod and found today Daiwa no longer keep spares, as well as my keepnet snagging up when trying to pull it out at the weigh in – resulting in a rip in the mesh and a snapped ring two from bottomm.
All in all a good day for the tackle dealer, as I’ll now have to buy a new waggler rod and keepnet……

PoolFodderI made one……….don’t have you in your team :-). To cap it all you were on a flyer. At least I blanked from a proper blanking peg.

PoolFodderJust checked AM, two blanks in a team of five and we’re still second by only seven points going into the last round.

Colin MParticipantYeah, all to play for. Now that I’ve thawed out I’m actually starting to look forward to the next round. As HST Dcotor said, we must be mad.

PoolFodderNo worries Andy the pegs we’re on still fished ok yesterday. CM and I elect to go on the sections where a bites a bonus and they let you weigh snotted pinkies in (if you can get one)

Colin MParticipantTonkin – how are you mate? I cant make Steve’s Xmas match this year as I’m away, but as he says it will be fished on better pergs. As last year, will still be a drawbag job though – will be won off the boards. Good luck, Col

PoolFodderCol, which section are the pergs in ??
-
21/11/2007 at 4:05 pm #67940
Colin MParticipantSteve, pergs is the posh Cheshire way of saying ‘pegs’. Being from Oldham, and a typical northern munkee, you wouldn’t understand .

PoolFodderWell that’s rich coming from a scouser! And excuse me it wasn’t Oldham it was Royton.
Funny how we both ended up in Cheshire though innit. -

TF_bwfc_01Participantomg 17 blanks in a section. Like Tonkin Tommy says our match in the supercup was solid of fish.
lol
Was it pulling through or badly coloured???????
Im ready for the xmas match this year and i want the boards again to sneek(foulhook) a few small bream.
🙂

Colin MParticipantNo, it was cold, low and clear. Bit of a flush through would do it good. Not sure how it fished yesterday. Any idea Steve?

PoolFodderFished well, 18,17,16,15 lbs with double figures right down the Red lion. Bit of colour and flow makes all the difference, mainly skimmers and bream.
