        There seems to be a distinct lack of a good catty on the market, at least for small to medium particles anyway. I have been using the Drennan ones with medium / strong elastic but I find that they often cannot reach island swims beyond around 25m and I end up getting through 3 or 4 cattys per match because the elastic bottoms out and breaks. Then you have to go from 6mm pellets to 8mm pellets when the wind picks up.

        I have also bought a Preston one which seems to be no different and it has a hard pouch which can leave half your feed around your feet.

        Last weekend I bought some different elastics and canabolised a couple of pults to see if I could improve on their range and life.

        I also heard that the guys down at Whiteacres were using one of the Milo pults but replacing the pouch with one of the Drennan mesh ones.

        Does anyone know which Milo model they are refering to or do you have any other tips?

          “I would be prepared to hazard a guess that the catapult was one of the Sensas range of double elastic catapults. They’re in the main 2007 brochure and worth every penny. They sell at around £10 each, but they’re very strong and will send a small ball of groundbait over 120yds……..I’ve measured it! You can probably work out that I have one or two of them myself (being the Sensas addict that I am)”.

          I use a trev tomlin whopper dropper which you may be able to modify.
          Trust this makes sense.

            Thanks Peter. I can’t find any info on the Sensas one on the net. Is this and the Tomlin one just for groundbait? I need a pouch for pellets and also spare elastic. Cheers.

              why not try drennan dual core/hydro/or prestons pole elastic when you have put elastic in your pole what’s leaft use on your catty it fits the drennan pults ive used it on mine and it’s fine also if you use the hydro squeeze the liquid out if not the elastic pulls off the pouch
