FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS . Still fishing ok with match and pleasure catches to over 100lb. The Top tactic was still the method feeder fished tight to the island with wafter but bomb and pellet or waggler fished across and down the margins with dead maggot over ground bait or micros have also accounted for some good catches. Carp anglers fishing the night have caught plenty of doubles and fish to over 20lb with boilies fished close in to the margins working best.

GEARYS . Matches were won with around 100lb and decent back ups with the high bank from pegs 7-15 the best area. Bomb with 8mm pellet, pole at 13-15m feeding 6mm pellet and fishing a 6 or a 8mm on a band, method feeder and down the margins on corn or dead maggot over ground bait have been the most consistent approach in the matches. Pleasure anglers fishing into the evenings have caught fish to 20lb + with boilies and PVA bags accounting for the bigger fish.

LITTLE GEARYS . Fishing a little more consistent this week with carp to 20lb and f1s to 8lb in nets to over 100lb and most pegs providing decent sport. Caster or pellet shallow, meat at 5m or down the margins and method feeder to the island have all worked well.

ANNIVERSARIES Fished a little better this week with nets to around 70lb best and plenty of carp and f1s from 2-4lb showing around the pool. Meat fished short or pellet /caster shallow have been the outstanding tactics and on the wider pegs waggler or bomb with 6mm pellet as also caught well.

SIBLINGS A Match weight to around 100lb best this week but pleasure anglers reporting bigger catches fishing later in the day. The best tactic has still been meat fished short but long down the margins on corn ,dead reds or pellet fished over micros is also working. Shallow pellet or caster is also starting to produce and a mugging rig can pick up a few better sized carp.

SIBLINGS B . Nets to over 160lb this week with the bigger f1s starting to switch onto the caster fished shallow or down the edges. The bigger carp are coming to dobbing along the far side or to corn or dead maggots fished tight up to the far bank or down the margins with fish into double figures showing.

GRATUITIES Some lovely nets of silvers coming to caster or maggot which have included bream to 3lb,roach to 1lb and chub to 2lbin catches to over 30lb. Carp to around 15lb were caught on pellet waggler or surface baits such as dog biscuit

WILLOW Much better this week with the changeable conditions favouring the f1s and also some nice carpto high double figures. Waggler or feeder tight to the island, pole with paste or banded pellet at 5-12m and down the margins with corn ,worm or dead maggots have all provided some decent sport.
