FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS . Carp anglers fishing the night have reported fish to 22lb with Krill or cell boilies working best combined with a PVA bag and fished tight across to the island and pegs 8- 15, 25-31 and 42-48 the best area. In the matches nets to around 40lb have been best with method feeder across the best tactic for carp and f1s but if you just want bites fish a maggot close in for silvers with nets to around 20lb of roach and skimmers coming to this.

GEARYS . Nets to over 130lb and the most consistent pool with carp showing well particularly on the deeper pegs from 7-18 and the far side from 31-36. Pole fished 8mm pellet fished over 6mms has been the top tactic in matches but method feeder and bomb with pellet also doing well. Silver matches are being won with around 25lb with maggot or caster fished over ground bait working best.

LITTLE GEARYS 60lb best in the matches with the f1s still not feeding well . Pole fished pellet short and long has been the top tactic with method feeder to the island ,maggot feeder fished down the middle and down the margins with corn or meat also catching, best areas have been pegs 7-13 and 21-29.

ANNIVERSARIES . Nets to around 40lb best with the f1s still not having a proper go . Pole fished hard pellet has been the most consistent tactic but you need to keep a few lines open and work your way round them catching a couple of fish off each and then starting over. Bomb or waggler with 6mm pellet has also been working on the more open pegs.

SIBLINGS A . Nets to around 45lb in matches which has mainly been made up with carp with fish to 15lb and plenty of doubles included. Bomb with 6mm pellet has worked well fished up to the island but pole with maggot, caster or meat fished long or down the margins has also been catching.

SIBLINGS B . Long pole with pellet or caster fished tight up to the far side or any far bank feature has been the best approach for f1s to 5lb and carp up to double figures. The f1s are also coming short to about 5m with maggot fed out of the hand working best on this line.

GRATUITIES Carp are showing best on the island with fish to double figures coming to waggler/bomb and pellet or a small method feeder fished tight up. Nice silvers nets coming to maggot ,caster or expander pellet fished down the middle of the pool.

WILLOW . As with all of the pools the mixed weather has made the pools more inconsistent with the f1s reluctant to feed and nets are made up of carp in the 2-4lb range with the odd bigger bonus fish. Live maggot or banded hard pellet fed short or down the middle has been the best tactic with method feeder to the island also catching few .
