FISHING REPORT
MOLANDS A little patchy but pegs 1-10 and 42-60 have showed the best form. The water is still clear and the fish have been up in the water so waggler and pellet or bomb with pellet or wafter have been the best tactic with the fish attracted by the loose fed pellets falling through the water. Carp anglers have had plenty of with the biggest reported a 24lb common with numerous upper double figure fish coming to boilies and the PVA Bag.
GEARYS A few colder nights in the week saw sport become a little more inconsistent but nets to around 90lb were caught and the high bank from 9-13 and pegs 17-19 were the best areas. In the matches bomb with pellet /wafter ,method feeder to the middle stumps and pole with 6mm banded hard pellet have been the better approach.. Still some nice nets of skimmers coming from all around the pool with maggot over groundbait working best for nets to 30lb.
LITTLE GEARYS Fished a little harder this week but f1s showing on most pegs and some cracking carp to 20lb also starting to wake up with nets to around 60lb. Pole fished maggot either long, short or down the margins has been the top tactic with bomb with 6mm pellet /wafter, maggot feeder or a small method feeder also worth a go.
SIBLINGS A . The most consistent area has been from pegs 17 – 21 with carp and f1s showing in nets to 60lb. Banded hard 4mm or expander pellet fished tight up to the island has worked best but dobbing bread or corn has still been catching and picking out some nice carp into double figures.
SIBLINGS B Fished a little slower this week with nets to 40lb with carp and f1s showing on most pegs with pole pellet/maggot fished down the middle or corn/dead maggot fished over micros across to the far bank working best.
ANNIES Has been producing nets to around 60lb and f1s and small carp are showing to pole with expander pellet on the pole or bomb with 6mm banded pellet and the pegs at the top end of the pool from 1-10 and 20-23 are still in the best form.
WILLOW Always popular with the pleasure anglers ,catches to 70lb were reported last week with carp to 16lb+ and f1s to 6lb providing the main action. Waggler, bomb or a method feeder to the island or long pole with corn, baned pellet or maggot have been the best tactics.
