Ravensthorpe Reservoir is off to a good start with a rod average of 6.2 for the first two days of the new season. Boat anglers had the best fishing.
Graham Smith who virtually lives on Ravensthorpe’s doorstep caught steadily on a floating line and a green and black tin head.
Andy Thom, Graham’s boat partner also caught well throughout the day. Northampton anglers Pat Flynn and Brian Coleman had a successful start catching and releasing several fish to the boat.
Plenty of fish were caught on the usual early season favourites like black and green lures such as Cats Whiskers on mainly intermediate and slow sink lines. Floating lines with long leaders and buzzers should be worth a try.
